Pick the gauge, not the guess

Thickness is the single decision that drives cost, dexterity and how long a glove survives the task. Here is the full TruGlove range — tap any gauge to compare.

Built for the work

Exam-grade feel, food-safe barrier

01

Tactile sensitivity

At 4 mil the film all but disappears — enough feel to seat a small part, find a pulse or work a fine instrument, with the barrier of a full nitrile glove.

02

Food-safe & exam-grade

Compliant for food contact and specified as exam grade, so one glove covers the clinic, the lab and the prep line.

03

Powder-free, latex-free

No cornstarch residue on instruments, samples or food, and no natural-rubber proteins — safe to standardize across staff and patients.

04

High-visibility blue

The clinical-standard blue makes tears, punctures and contamination easy to catch against skin and product.

Product detail

One blue glove for the clinic, the lab and the prep line

The 4 mil blue nitrile is the workhorse of the exam and food-safe world. It is thin enough to preserve the tactile feedback fine work demands, yet it is a fully synthetic nitrile barrier — no latex proteins, no powder, and a true exam-grade fit. For most healthcare, laboratory and food-service operations it is the single highest-volume glove on the shelf.

Powder-free means no cornstarch transferring onto instruments, samples, food or a patient's skin. The ambidextrous, beaded-cuff design donates fast from a 100-count dispenser and rolls off cleanly at the wrist. The high-visibility blue is the clinical standard for a reason — a breach shows instantly.

Where it performs

Healthcare and dental exam rooms, clinical and research laboratories, food preparation and service, tattoo and body art, and any precision task where feel matters. Food-safe and latex-free construction makes it safe to standardize across a mixed team.

When the job turns to solvents, sharp edges or heavy mechanical wear, step up to the black industrial nitrile line — the 5.5 mil or 6.5 mil.

Questions

Before you order

How thick is a 4 mil nitrile glove, really?
A mil is one thousandth of an inch, so 4 mil is roughly 0.10 mm at the palm. It is the everyday exam gauge — thin enough for fine tactile work while still giving you a full nitrile barrier. Heavier industrial gloves run 5.5 mil and up.
Are these gloves food safe?
Yes. This is a food-safe nitrile, compliant for food contact, so it works for prep, plating, packaging and service in addition to exam use.
Can I use these for medical or exam use?
Yes — this is our exam-grade blue nitrile, made for patient exams, dental, laboratory and general clinical use. It is non-sterile.
Powdered or powder-free?
Powder-free. There is no cornstarch to transfer onto instruments, samples, food or skin — the standard for clinical and food environments.
What chemicals do they resist?
Nitrile handles many everyday chemicals and incidental splash well. For solvents, heavy mechanical wear or extended chemical contact, step up to the black industrial nitrile line or a rated chemical-resistant glove.
What is the minimum order?
Pricing starts at case quantity — 1,000 gloves, or 900 for XXL, which packs 90 per box. Volume, pallet and standing-order pricing is quoted on request.
Do you private label?
Yes. We supply custom colors, thicknesses, cuff lengths and your own box art for volume buyers. Include the details in your quote request.
